Tidbit About Me

Hi there!

I’m a 35 year old mom of an 11 year old son. We live in Canada together in a town approximately 30 minutes from the American border.
I’ve enjoyed expressing myself in writing ever since I could write. I journal life happenings, abstract feels, and thoughts on situations I am in or not in. And relationships. I’m a big advocate for learning and growing so I try to use experiences as opportunities for this. Sometimes it is difficult. Sometimes you have to laugh at how crazy and amazing this life we get to live, is.

This is where you find me.

    What brings you to Thailand??

    • rampike says:

In 2008 my Dad came here and took on a 4 year construction project. My mom, younger brother and I, came with 🙂 Now the project is finished and the rest of my family is back in Canada.
During those years I dabbled in teaching English; tutoring, assisting, substituting . I took a few courses at a school in Bangkok as well ( socialogy, philosophy and a thai lang. course) and I also met my boyfriend. We bought a house just a few months back and plan to stay here a few more years. ( until he reaches a certain position at work ) He is not what brought me here, but certainly is what brings me to stay 😛 Thanks for stopping by and asking!
I noticed you’re from Oakville!? I’m from Sarnia!
I’m interested in your daily experiences while abroad and so have begun following 🙂

      • eharris29 says:

Wow… awesome story. Thailand must be beautiful. And small world haha yup and I used to go to the University of Western Ontario in London! Thanks for following!

What lovely adventures and fond memories living abroad can be, bittersweet even. Loving the life you have, missing the one you left behind… Thank you for the ‘like’ today on Shadows.

  3. That’s so cool that you went! Did it feel like an adventure?

    • rampike says:

It most certainly did! In the end, it felt less of that and more like something that was keeping me from adventuring. But I will never ever regret going-way too much experience was had-that I wouldn’t have gained otherwise. Thanks for asking! 🙂 Do you feel like you’ve made choices to improve your ‘venture, or that you are about to?

  4. rampike says:

That’s awesome! A decision like that can take you new places. I hope opportunies are born and you give them as much milk as you feel you should. 🙂 Opportunities, even if they are merely idea bubbles.

  5. Hi, Thanks for liking my about page. Wow, I’ve never been abroad to anywhere as far as Thailand, I live in the UK. I like your blog, keep it up :).

        Hey, about that “To Him”…

I think you should write to him – I don’t know the back-story, but you are emotional, and blogging will only help a bit of you!

      • Lively Life says:

Well Vivek, I AM writing ‘to him’. 😛 Yes, yes I know what you mean. I am emotional, you’re right, but once you break trust, words don’t mean as much. You know? It’s action, and I’m sorta in the position I can’t do a whole lot. I’m working on it though. And blogging helps, yes! Thanks for your comment and advice-much appreciated 🙂

      • Vivek says:

        You are most welcome, dear!
Yes, Blogging helps then and now!
But, it is not the final solution – you do need to resolve the issues by talking and not writing!

Thanks for the follow, I hope that UnfinishedBusiness will help you somehow!

        Take Care
        🙂

I must apologize. it is in no way personal but I had a bad experience with giving out contact information so I must decline your request. Please do continue reading, it gives me great joy!

      • Vivek says:

No problem, dear…although, I was talking about social media!

And your story is going interesting…!!

Hi, I’m all new to the blog world, I didn’t even know it was called blogs until just a while ago. I read your one story about jewels and it was really pretty.

  8. deskelly365 says:

Do you really think that about people only meeting through the internet?

  9. Lively Life says:

I’m not sure I understand your question. Are you referring to my ‘It’ll Be Common’ post? Or about being open online? Or.. something else altogether? 🙂

  10. Alas, when you put it this way, it perhaps explains why I’ve been driven mad.

  11. booguloo says:

It’s a good thing to reflect on what you’ve done and accomplished. Helps rearranging the boxes we fill cross referenced by place and time. Well done so far. The journey now begins anew with our new knowledge of self and our reactions of our surroundings.

I can’t find any way to leave comments on your blog posts – I liked and I followed but it didn’t seem to make any difference.
Anyways, it was just some crazy comment about you in a tank top, and a thank for following my blog – ‘preciate that. 🙂
Later – it’s bedtime here in England now – Robert.

    • Lively Life says:

Oh! Hi! I’ve been trying to make it so that peoples can comment on my posts- not quite sure how to do so. Thanks for your follow and likes and comment and and and 🙂 Good morning!

      • levishedated says:

        Good afternoon. 😉
This seems to be the help page for people being able to comment.
        Hope it works for you.

      • Lively Life says:

Woops, went the other timezone way! Egad! I think I fixed the reply possability now. Yahooooooo

      • Eh? Timezone? What’s that got to do with the price of coffee?
Great! I’ll be over later then. 🙂

      • Lively Life says:

Haha! Now, now R.C, I’m rather certain your double decker bus won’t make it this far.Besides, the coffee you’d be bringing would be darn cold by the time you’d make it.

      • Say something sensible quick, otherwise I’ll have to come to the conclusion that you’re radged! 🙂
I guess you’re turning a saying about incomprehensibility into an offer of coffee and are making the assumption that because I’m from England I drive a Double Decker Bus! And then – why would you want to call me RC? That would be a world first. You would be unique in the whole history and geography of space and time if you were to do that. Who’d want to be that special?! 😀
What’s your name by the way?

      • Lively Life says:

You tell me I’d better say something sensible quick.
        Then ask for my name.
Well aren’t you just a contradicting mess of grey skies and rain showers, hm?!
Unless you expect my name to be something entirely insensible I’d say you have quite a bit of explaining to do R.C. 🙂

      • Since when were grey skies and rain showers contradicting? They pretty much make a perfect match – they are almost always seen together! :b
Your name may or may not be sensible, but telling it to someot you have just met is very sensible. 😉
Noticed you got the comments working – well done. 😀

      • Lively Life says:

Why yes I did! You said it yourself: the medal belongs to me. 🙂
As for the weather, do excuse me for contradicting myself? I in no way intended to in order to bloom my mess of contradiction comment into a super power flower. :p
And hey- it’s not like you told me your name. I just sensibly found it in the oh so smallest of crevices’. 😀 Sensible bensible, you Decker bus driver you.

      • I changed my Gravatar profile a couple of days ago so that it included my name.
Maybe too late now but … Hiya – my name’s Robert – I’m very pleased to meet you. 🙂

  13. A very intriguing yet wonderful about 🙂 Thanks for the likes and the follow. Much appreciated 🙂 Hope to see more of you in the coming days. Cheers and Warmest wishes, Minaxi ❤

  18. I just stumbled upon this and I am blown away. And especially because our stories(you know what I am talking about) resembles so, so much… While I am so young, I managed to touch a soul..I don’t even know what I am saying, I am simply blown away…

“Because guilt, even though it is a good and necessary thing to feel sometimes,
it can drive a person mad.”

“Guilt before doing an act is morality.” – Liberal Arts, movie

Lovely story! Way to go dear! You’re blessed you have a family that supports you.
Hold on to the heavens. Take it from someone who was once in your situation. 🙂

  20. Daal says:

thanks much for visiting my blog – especially as its led me to your lovely honest one here 🙂

  21. Say, did you get a chance to look at the video of me performing? If so, what you think?

    • Lively Life says:

Once I had the chance, I made the chance happen. You seem like a Charlie Zero and I am still trying to figure out how you would be and how you would like to be, in person. I think here, online, is where you get a lot of confidence you otherwise don’t have. I think you were very quiet at a certain point in your life and you’re breaking free of that. even though you’ve made a book and have lots of affirmation that your writing is good, you still have an underlying worry of you based on immense history, your potrayal and your persona. But that’s just me. Peeking into a window, a dusty, cobwebbed window perhaps? to your life. 🙂 My thoughts none the less.

      • That’s a very interesting observation.
Actually, to be completely open – back in my life I was a victim of physical & mental bullying. I wasn’t too quite, though, my own experience of facing prejudice because I was different, weird, bizarre, or saw things about life in a different odd point of view. I also, suffer from PTSD. I don’t take any medication. The only medicine that helps me is writing poetry. Poetry is my balance, my haven, my way of dealing with life. I like to hide behind complex surrealism words, once in a great while I’ll express my true feelings to the world. As a matter of fact – Next Monday, I will be posting an interesting poem which will expose how I feel about life. You’ll see. It’s going to be a different shift from my previous works. 🙂

You’ve already had some amazing experiences. All building blocks of who you are and who you will become. I’m off to read more of you.

    • Lively Life says:

Wow. hey Thanks for cycling around for a bit in my corner.
Yeh, I did a lot and it had great impact. It changes my feelings on whatever I do next. I think I’ll probably cradle my movement like a newborn, and protect and honor it more than I did.

  24. Diana says:

Yes guilt can “drive you mad”. It can nudge you toward the edge of a cliff and whisper in your ear “jump, and flap your arms”. Destruction inevitable!
I’m surprised after reading that you are more youthful than I imagined from the maturity of your words. I’m thinking this isn’t your first life 🙂
